Benjamin B. Backes, Jr.

Benjamin "Benji" Backes, Jr., 68, passed away peacefully in his home on December 3rd, 2023. Ben was a mechanic by trade, but a comedian at heart. He was a man of a thousand hobbies and knew at least a bit about everything. He lived for his time at the beach, which he visited as often as possible.

Ben is survived by wife, Kim, who will honor his legacy by enjoying her time with their son, Nick, and grandchildren, Remy and Weston. Ben loved collecting rocks, smelting metals, and fashioning lumber with his sawmill. There is nothing that he couldn't do, and he always had something to teach those around him. He faced every challenge with a smile and a joke, until the very end.
