Anthony “Tony” Heiser Sr. passed away in his home on March 27, 2023 at the age of 86. He was the son of Francis Heiser and Anna (Rapp) Heiser. He was predeceased by his wife, Rosemary (Gasdaska) Heiser, sons, Anthony Heiser Jr., Robert Mark Heiser, and brothers Francis Heiser and Raymond Heiser.
Surviving Anthony is his son David Heiser Sr. his wife, Maria, his grandsons David and Dominic, his sister in law Teresa Heiser and a niece and nephews and many cousins.
Anthony worked as a teacher for 40 years in the Bethlehem Area School District. He was a member of the Bethlehem Education Association where he served as president and vice president. Anthony was involved in many school district activities such as coaching the basketball team at Broughal Middle School and leading them to win the All-City championship. He was also a member of the Schoolman’s Club. He was an active volunteer at the Boy’s Club of Bethlehem where he led the basketball team to the all city championship in the 1960’s and 1970’s. Prior to his education career he worked at Bethlehem Steel. He was a graduate of Allentown Central Catholic High School, Moravian University,undergraduate) and Lehigh University (graduate).
Anthony loved football, golf, trivia and having coffee with his friends. His grandsons were his pride and joy. Pop pop could always be found in the crowd cheering them on at their sports games and theatrical productions. He was one of their biggest fans and made that known to everyone.
Services: A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00AM, Monday April 10, 2023, at Incarnation of our Lord Catholic Church, 617 Pierce St. Bethlehem, PA 18015. Calling hours will be in the church prior to Mass from 8:30-10AM.
Interment will follow at the church Cemetery at the conclusion of Mass.
