Walter A. Wood

Walter (Woody) A Wood, 67, of Green Lane, passed away on July 5, 2024, in Grandview Hospital.

Born in Norristown on April 21, 1957, Woody was the first son of the late Walter and Margaret Wood (Hurley).

Woody worked as a Lead Park Ranger for Montgomery County at the Norristown Farm Park where he was a leader and mentor. He enjoyed cooking, going to the car races, the camaraderie of his many friends, and he loved animals.

Woody is survived by his long time life partner, Joann Hogan; his brother, Robert Wood, husband of Lori, of Gilbertsville, and his sisters, Rose Wood, of Bridgeport, Patricia Wood, of Schwenksville, and Theresa Wood, of Schwenksville. He is also survived by 3 nephews and 2 nieces.

A life celebration with family and friends will be announced at a later date.
