Steven R. Simmons

Steven Robert Simmons, born June 20, 1964, passed peacefully on December 8, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Steven is survived by his sons, Derrick (Diana), Darrell, and Devon (Nicole); and his six cherished grandchildren: Oliver, Emmitt, Lucas, Harlow, Izak, and Nash. He is also survived by his parents, Robert and Gloria Simmons; his siblings, Robin (Martin) O’Donnell, Susan (Christopher) Guiliano, and Peter (Katherine) Simmons; his former wife, Betsy Crisman; his partner, Margot McKenna; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

A proud 1982 graduate of Hannibal Central School, Steven went on to serve his country in the United States Air Force. Following his military service, he embraced entrepreneurship and successfully owned and operated several businesses throughout his life.

Steven will be remembered as a loving and generous father, son, brother, and friend. He was the heart of his family—quick with a joke, always ready with a laugh, and blessed with a strong sense of humor that lifted the spirits of everyone around him. His warmth, wit, and larger-than-life presence will be deeply missed and forever cherished.

A celebration of life is being planned for January 2026 to honor his memory. Details to be announced soon.
