Stephen F. Diodati, 77, of Newtown, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on July 28, 2026. A devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, and accomplished business owner, Steve built a life defined by hard work, family, and a restless love of adventure.

Born on February 12, 1949, Steve grew up pushing boundaries and seeking thrills. As a boy he explored the local train tracks with friends and spent his youth building and racing cars on the Philadelphia circuits—early signs of the hands-on, high-energy spirit that would define his life.

In 1975 he founded Summit Electric Construction Inc. in Warminster, Pennsylvania, building the company from the ground up. He remained proud of the business and the wonderful people who helped it grow over the decades.

On June 30, 1979, Steve married the love of his life, Deborah J. Diodati. Together they shared 47 years of marriage filled with love, laughter, and unwavering partnership. He was never happier than when he had Debbie by his side, whether for their weekly date nights or traveling the world.

Steve is survived by his beloved wife, Deborah; his children, Kristin York and her partner Christopher York, Nicole Diodati, Dana Diodati and her partner Christopher Meo, and Stephen Diodati and his wife Brittany Diodati; and his cherished grandchildren, to whom he was known as “Pop”, Vera (8), Jackson (6), Jordan (3), Stephen (5), Dahlia (4), and Lorenzo (2).

A hands-on man who could fix just about anything around the house, Steve also found joy in fishing, crabbing, Classic Rock, and driving anything that went fast - cars, “the Beast”, boats, motorcycles, quads, or waverunners. Most of all, he delighted in time spent playing with his grandchildren.

The family is deeply grateful to the dedicated teams at Fox Chase Cancer Center and Chandler Hall for the exceptional care and compassion they provided.

Steve will be remembered for his warmth, his work ethic, his sense of adventure and fun-loving nature, the deep love he held for his family, and the countless private acts of kindness and generosity that may never be known.

Celebration of Life arrangements are being planned for September with details to come.

In lieu of flowers and for those desiring, the family invites memorial contributions to the Eagles Autism Foundation or Churchville Nature Center.
