Samantha Vonschmidt

Samantha Vonschmidt passed away on September 3, 2026, at the age of 38.

Above all else, she loved her daughter, and that love was at the heart of her life.

Born on November 5, 1987, Samantha lived with a warmth that was felt by those around her. She graduated from Old Bridge High School and went on to work as a waitress, bringing her funny, kind, and caring nature into her daily life and the many connections she made along the way.

Sam found joy in simple and meaningful things. She loved the beach, a place that reflected the peace and happiness she longed for. Above all else, she loved her daughter, and that love was at the heart of her life.

She is survived by her sister, Robyn Gold-Donnelly; her daughter, Dayna Vonschmidt; and her boyfriend, Joseph Datillo. Each of them carries forward the memory of Sam’s love, laughter, and gentle spirit, and each was an important part of her life.

Samantha was preceded in death by her parents, Debbie and Richard Gold.

She will be remembered for her humor, her kindness, her caring heart, and the love she gave so freely to those closest to her. Her memory will remain a lasting presence in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
