Nancy E. Shirley, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away surrounded by loved ones on September 15, 2025. Born on January 22, 1950, Nancy was a gentle soul whose kindness and compassion touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Throughout her life, Nancy exemplified selflessness, always putting the needs of others before her own. She was admired for her loving disposition and her ability to forge connections with everyone she met. Known for her welcoming nature, she cultivated an environment where family and friends felt cherished and valued. Her warm presence will be deeply missed by all.
Nancy shared a profound love for her family. She was the proud and devoted mother of Gary W. Shirley Jr., Kimberly Shirley, and Colby Shirley. Her grandchildren, Joshua Riemenschneider and Skylar Shirley, were the apples of her eye, bringing immense joy to her life. Her heart would light up at their presence, and she devoted herself to creating lasting memories with them. Nancy found great joy in making holiday meals, bringing her family together to celebrate love and laughter.
In addition to her immediate family, Nancy's loving spirit will be remembered by her sister Joann, her brother Ray, and her sister-in-law Lana Keis, along with several nephews, nieces and friends, who were fortunate enough to call her family. She is now reunited with her late husband, Gary W. Shirley Sr., who will welcome her with open arms, along with her mother, Margret (Peggy), and her father, Raymond Mullican, in eternal peace.
Beyond her familial ties, Nancy's life was enriched by her love for her dog, Teddy, and her admiration for The Beatles band. She was a remarkable woman whose presence made the world a brighter place. Her legacy of kindness will continue to thrive through the memories she created with her loved ones and the love she spread wherever she went.
Though Nancy will be deeply missed, her spirit is soaring high, free from pain and embraced by everlasting love. The soft sights of butterflies or doves will serve as gentle reminders from her enduring spirit above. Her family and friends will carry her memory forever in their hearts, cherishing the beautiful moments they shared with this extraordinary woman.
