Schwenksville PA

Michael Dennis Panamarenko passed away on August 27th, 2025, at the age of 73. Born on July 27th, 1952 in Philadelphia, PA to Helen and Paul Panamarenko, he is now survived by his two children - Michael P. Panamarenko and Katie C. Genc, along with five grandchildren. A 1969 graduate of Central High School, Michael was a hard-working man rising to a position of Vice President of Providence National Bank (now PNC) in his youth. He would later open and operate his own successful retail business, Mike and Kate’s Sport Shoppe, for over 20 years, in Northeast Philadelphia. Hobbies and interests of Michael included hunting, fishing, motorcycles, westerns, and rock and roll. Michael carried a light-heartedness and good humor while standing firm in his beliefs and values. He was a man who had deep wisdom and strong intuition, providing endless amounts of knowledge to anyone who knew him. Two favored quotes of Michael's were, “Don’t put until tomorrow what you can do today” and “Don’t stoop down to people’s levels- make them rise up to yours”. He was a teacher, provider, protector, father, and friend. He will be truly missed. A celebration of life will be held from 2-6pm October 12, 2025 at Sassamansville Fire Company, 1865 Hoffmansville Rd, Perkiomenville, PA 19074. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the SPCA, as some of Michael's best "buddies" came from there.
