~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Maria Scrivano was a fierce woman. She was generous, kind, quick-witted, and sharp as a tack. She was a loving sister, a selfless and dedicated mother and a beaming grandmother and great grandmother. She loved cooking, singing, watching tennis, and listening to Frank Sinatra.
She was ahead of her time in every way, inspiring those around her. She earned a master’s degree in Psychology from Villanova in 1981 while also raising three children and working a full time job. She was a published poet and an exceptional bowler. She was also a cultured traveler, living in both Paris with her daughter and Pensacola with her husband while he was stationed in the Navy. It was there that her family's love for The Blue Angels began. She also visited Italy, Spain, and Colombia. But most of all, she loved cooking a delicious meal of manicotti, sausage and peppers, cavatelli (pronounced "gavadeels" by her), and meatballs with gravy followed by her pizzelles, ricotta cake, and biscotti.
Maria crossed the veil on January 22nd, 2026 in her home in Hatboro, PA, joining her husband (Sam), her son (Peter), her mother (Nava), and her siblings (Vincent, Frankie, Tina, and Barbara) in heaven. She was 90 years young.
She is survived by her children Barbara (Jimmie) and Paul (Juli), her daughter-in-law Vicki, her grandchildren Royce (Susan), Skylar, Alexis (Corey), Sami (Adam), Nick (Sarah), and her great grandchildren Hallie and Jet. She will live on through the hearts of everyone who loves her and remembers her.
She did it her way.
