Kathleen A. Hendrix

Kathleen A. Hendrix, (Kate), passed away peacefully on November 7, 2025, at her home, surrounded by loved ones. Born on September 14, 1956, in Philadelphia, Kate dedicated her life to her family, her career as an HR Coordinator in the healthcare industry, and her love for her cats, Madison, Mara, and Mac.

Kate was a remarkable person whose vibrant spirit and warmth resonated with everyone around her. She was truly the heart and soul of her family, embodying the essence of love and togetherness. Always putting her family first, holidays and gatherings were particularly special times for Kate, as she cherished the moments spent with those she loved. Her dedication to family was matched only by her passion for the hobbies she enjoyed, including cooking, reading, and engaging in arts and crafts, creations of which she eagerly shared with her family.

She leaves behind her devoted husband of 22 years, John Hunter Hendrix, her loving sister, Karen F. Hayes-Kucowski, and her brother, Geffrey A. Hayes (Laureen). Kate will be remembered fondly by her nieces and nephews Erika, Lauren, Ryan, Kayla, Collin, Isabella, and Sophia, as well as her step-daughters, Ashley and Kristen, all of whom were touched by her unwavering love and support.

Kate was preceded in death by her cherished parents, Archie F. Hayes and Genevieve J. Hayes (nee Bombas), who instilled in her the values of family and compassion that she carried throughout her life.

As we reflect on Kate’s life, we celebrate not only the love she gave and received but also the beautiful memories created over the years. Her legacy of kindness, creativity, and unwavering dedication to her family will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
