Joseph Tymitz Jr., a dedicated and hardworking individual who enriched the lives of those around him, passed away on May 21, 2026. Born on June 20, 1931, in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, Joe's life was marked by his steadfast commitment to family and his work.
Joseph served his country with honor in the United States Air Force as a member of the Air Police, an early testament to his disciplined character and sense of duty. Following his military service, he devoted much of his professional career to skilled labor, working at Warminster Fiberglass and Fisher and Porter in Warminster, Pennsylvania, where he painted control panels. His approach to work reflected his strong work ethic; he continued to maintain this diligence well into his later years.
Even in his late eighties, Joe was known for his remarkable vitality and willingness to assist others. He enjoyed riding his bike to local stores and took pride in cutting his own grass. His helpful spirit extended to his neighbors, whom he helped by shoveling snow during the harsh winter months. Joe was particularly passionate about automobiles, often seen working on cars, cleaning vehicles parked in his driveway, and inspecting under the hood, ensuring everything was in proper order.
Family was central to Joseph’s life, and he was deeply cherished by his loved ones. He found great joy in spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, especially in moments of play like tossing a football with the younger ones. His keen sense of care and affection created lasting memories that his family will treasure.
Joseph is lovingly remembered by his daughter Joann Maurone and her husband Raymond. He also leaves behind his granddaughters Nicole Stoneback and her husband Steve, Christine Cochran and her husband Brad, Katie Manuszak and her husband Ken, as well as his great-grandchildren Sophia, Cole, Ethan, and Cali, each of whom brought profound happiness into his life.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Pat Tymitz, his parents Joseph and Viola Tymitz, and his brothers John, Raymond, Stanley, Andy, and Paul Tymitz. Their memories live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
Joseph Tymitz Jr.’s life was a portrait of unwavering dedication, kindness, and vigor. His legacy as a hardworking man who never sat idly, always striving to care for those around him, will be remembered with respect and gratitude. He will be deeply missed but forever honored by his family and friends.
At Joseph's request, his service will be private at Washington Crossing National Cemetery with immediate family only. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations can be made to the Hydrocephalus Association.
