Joseph (Joe) M. Lopresti

We are sad to share the passing of Joseph (Joe) Lopresti on September 10, 2026. Joe was born in Abington to the late Margaret and Samuel Lopresti, and raised in Glenside, Pennsylvania. Joe lived a simple life focused on family, friends, the "Jersey shore" and a passion for antique cars.

Joe had a career as a union electrician and enjoyed sharing stories about the many buildings in which he worked. He loved living in Glenside and was a life-time resident who often took long walks after his retirement.

Joe loved to sing and dance and could be found at every Ocean City concert during the summer months. He was happy to have the opportunity for the family to experience some concerts with him.  He liked to bike the boardwalk and "ride" the waves.

After being diagnosed in September 2025 with a malignant meningioma, Joe fought courageously and was able to experience the shore for a few cherished months this summer.

Joe is survived by his loving sister, Mary Pellak, niece Jennifer Roussel (Mathieu), grandniece, Lila Pellak, and grandnephew Robert Pellak. He was predeceased by his brother-in-law Bob Pellak and his nephew Jason Pellak. He is also survived by many loving cousins and life-long friends.

Services to honor Joe's life will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at St. Luke the Evangelist Church,  2316 Fairhill Ave, Glenside, Pennsylvania 19038. Visitation will begin at 10 AM followed by his Mass beginning at 11 am., Interment will be held privately by his family.

 All are invited to a luncheon following the service.
