Janet went to school in Christopher, Illinois. When in School, she was part of a theatre group. She was best known for her performance in the production of Mamie. Janet was an excellent softball player. She enjoyed the sport as well the friendships with her teammates.

Janet graduated with the Class of 1956.

Janet continued to enjoy softball and baseball throughout the years and followed many of the local teams of which she lived, those being the St. Louis Cardinals and the Philadelphia Phillies.

After high school, she worked at the local movie theatre, then The P.R. Mallory Company.

Several years later, she married Jack Seibert of Christopher, Illinois. Jack and Janet had 2 children, Debra and Dan.

When the children were older, Janet worked in some local restaurants, but retail sales and customer service were her “happy place”. She loved to help customers, loved the conversations and all the new friendships she had made along the way.

Janet loved her little dogs. The toy poodles, Mindy, Bo Lucky and Sasha, had their own unique personalities and she loved each one of them. She claimed their "whines" were actually them saying, “I love you”, “I love you”. They most certainly did love her as much as she loved them!

Janet was a Christian and loved the Lord. She attended church with her family. She drew comfort from her good friends at 1st Christian Church in Belleville and continued those friendships long after their move to Pennsylvania.

One of Janet’s favorite Hymns was, Great is Thy Faithfulness, We Shall Behold Him and More than Wonderful. One of her favorite Bible verses was, Philippians 4:13 – I can do everything through Him who gives me strength and Romans 8:28- And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.

Janet is survived by her 2 children Debbie Byrne (Steven) of Pennsylvania and Dan Seibert of Illinois.
