Gordon A. Goehler, born on February 9, 1940, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on April 21, 2025, in Yardley, Pennsylvania. He was 85 years old and leaves behind a legacy of warmth and laughter, cherished by all who knew him.
Gordon was a man of kind disposition and humor, always lighting up the room with his infectious spirit. He proudly served in the Army and National Guard from 1962 until 1967, embodying the values of service and dedication. After completing his military service, Gordon had his own business as a tile and marble setter. Later, he had a successful career as an executive sales representative with Ricoh USA.
A passion for automobiles sparked at a young age as he loved hot rod cars, demonstrating his resourcefulness by cobbling together parts to create his own '42 Ford Deluxe at the tender age of 16. This love of craftsmanship remained a significant part of his identity throughout his life.
He graduated from Central High School in Philadelphia and La Salle University. Gordon had a zest for adventure and was a world traveler, exploring magnificent places such as Italy, France, England, Alaska, Hawaii, the Caribbean and of course Mexico. His travels enriched his life, providing him with stories and experiences that he delighted in sharing with family and friends.
Gordon shared a profound love with his beloved wife, Cathie, to whom he was devoted for 62 wonderful years. He was also a proud father to his sons, Geoff (and Joanne) and Gregg (and Laurie), and a loving grandfather to Cole and Caleb. In addition to his immediate family, he held a special place in his heart for his granddaughter Angelina (and James) and his great-grandchildren, James and Julianna. Gordon is survived by his brothers, George and Bob, who supported him throughout his life.
As we remember Gordon A. Goehler, let us celebrate the moments of joy he brought into our lives, the kindness he extended to others, and the love he shared with his family. He will be dearly missed, yet his spirit and laughter will forever resonate in the hearts of those who loved him.
