Edward C. Braubitz, born on September 2, 1943, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, passed away on October 29, 2025. He was the beloved son of the late Charles E. and Anna M. (Kee) Braubitz and is remembered for his profound love of God, faith, family, and friends.
Ed's academic journey commenced at Father Judge High School in Philadelphia, where he graduated in 1961. He then attended Temple University, earning an associate's degree summa cum laude in May 1975, showcasing his commitment to excellence in education. Ed continued his studies at Temple University, once again graduating summa cum laude in January 1978. In addition to his degrees, he acquired numerous certificates in accounting and business administration, further exemplifying his dedication to personal and professional growth.
In March 1965, Ed enlisted in the United States Air Force, serving honorably until his discharge on March 22, 1971. His commitment to his country was a source of pride for him and a testament to his character.
A dedicated communicator of Our Lady of Good Counsel, Ed will be remembered for his unwavering faith and the strong bonds he cultivated with his family and friends.
Ed was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Braubitz, and sister-in-law Julia Braubitz, as well as his brother Charles Braubitz. He is survived by his sister-in-law Vivian Braubitz and cherished by two nieces and two nephews: Donna M. Byles, Julia A. Braubitz, Robert W. Braubitz II, and Joseph R. Braubitz. He also leaves behind grandnephews Christian, Aaron and Sean. Great grandchildren; Brandon, Lily, Blake and Savy.
A graveside service will be held at St. Andrew Catholic Church Cemetery, located at 135 South Sycamore Street, Newtown, PA, on January 6, 2026, beginning at 11:30 a.m. and concluding at 12:30 p.m.
Edward C. Braubitz’s legacy will endure through the lives he touched with his compassion and kindness, and he will be missed dearly by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
