Dennis A. Boyles

Dennis A. Boyles of Lansdale, PA went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 19, 2026 at age of 90. He was the beloved husband of Janet Kay (Landis) Boyles to whom he was married for over 68 years.

He was born November 22, 1935 at Chestnut Hill Hospital to the late John W. and Olive E. (Kuschel) Boyles of Lansdale.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter Susan J. Boyles of Lansdale and his son David L. Boyles and his wife Michele (aka favorite daughter-in-law) of Lansdale. He is the beloved Choo-Choo Poppy of Emily, Jonathan and Amanda Boyles of Lansdale. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.

As a lifelong resident of Lansdale, Dennis graduated from the original Lansdale High School (currently Penndale Middle School) class of 1953.

Dennis learned the generational craftsmanship of stone masonry from his father, John and his grandfather, William. Dennis had the privilege to continue the family business, William Boyles & Sons, alongside his son David. They worked on restorations of many 18th century homes, county and state historical sites.

Dennis proudly served with the U.S. Army 160th Engineer Group (construction) until his Honorable discharge in December 1960.

His many hobbies included collecting and restoring antique cars and toy trains. He also collected phonographs and loved listening to pipe organ music. Dennis had a gift for genealogy and also enjoyed consulting with the Lansdale Historical Society, especially on his family's historical structures in town.

For many years he served as an active member of Grace Mennonite Church and enjoyed being a part of their choir.

Dennis was a loving husband, father, grandfather and a friend of many. He will be greatly missed.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Dennis Boyles may be made to Grace Mennonite Church.

Relatives and friends are welcome to a celebration of Dennis’s life on Sunday, August 9th at 4:00 p.m., at Grace Mennonite Church, located at 630 York Avenue, Lansdale, PA, 19446.
