Charles Edwin Brown, born on January 22, 1932, in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully at home in Southampton on February 6, 2026. He lived a life full of dedication, service, and profound commitment to his community and family.
A graduate of Lower Moreland High School, Charles furthered his education at Temple University and Drexel University, laying the groundwork for a successful career as a manufacturers representative of precious metals. His professional journey was marked by a notable role as an Upper Southampton Township Supervisor and a member of the Bucks County Sewer and Water Authority, where he made significant contributions to the betterment of his community.
Charles took great pride in serving his country during the United States Army's Operation Castle in the Marshall Islands, a testament to his patriotism and commitment to protecting his nation.
Outside of his professional and military pursuits, Charles was an active member of the Mystic Shrine in Irem Temple of Wilkes-Barre, PA. He had a genuine love for nature and found joy in spending time outdoors, particularly while working in his yard, where he enjoyed nurturing the beauty of his surroundings.
He is survived by his loving daughter, Beth Doyle (James), and his sons, Gregory Brown and Scott Brown (Samantha), along with his daughter-in-law, Kimberly Brown. Charles cherished his grandchildren, who brought immense joy to his life: Allison Conlon (Thomas), Carianne Doyle, Steven Brown, Ronald Brown, Matthew Brown, Michael Brown, and Emily Brown. His legacy continues through two great-grandchildren, Ryleigh and Kinley Conlon.
Charles is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Elaine Brown (Danenberger), and his son, Charles E. Brown, Jr. The impact of his love and dedication will forever resonate within the hearts of those who knew him, and he will be deeply missed by family and friends alike.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 877 Street Road, Southampton, PA on March 21, 2026 at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at William Penn Cemetery, 13041 Bustleton Avenue, Philadelphia, PA. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
