Catherine “Kay” (Schilling) Webb passed away peacefully at home with her family on Friday, April 17, 2026, in Hatboro, PA. Born in Ashland, PA, Kay was raised in Coaldale, PA. A graduate of Marian High School, Kay went on to earn her bachelor’s degree from West Chester University, a teaching certificate from the University of Delaware, and a master’s degree from Kutztown University. Her greatest achievement was as beloved and devoted mother to two sons, Neal Webb of Hatboro, PA and the late Kevin Webb of Lake Hauto, PA.
Service to others was a central theme in Kay’s life with careers as a teacher, social worker, and psychologist. In retirement, Kay frequently spent time volunteering in support of ending veteran homelessness. Her strong character, sense of humor, and willingness to be there unconditionally endeared her to those she touched.
Kay loved adventures large and small ranging from her trip to Ireland with her beloved aunt Alice, a post college cross-country road trip with girlfriends camping in a convertible, to weekend treasure hunts at flea markets and thrift stores. Kay lived her life with the spirit of a modern-day explorer. Atlantic City will miss her.
Most important to Kay was family and friends who became like family. She spoke often of her times as a girl growing up in Coaldale with her brother Tom and sister Mary and the wonderful times spent with her numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends in town. Her favorite times throughout her life were those times spent with family and friends.
Kay is survived by her son Neal and her beloved daughter-in-law Christine (Mascaro) Webb of Hatboro, PA. She was predeceased by her former husband John Webb.
The family will have a private service. Donations in lieu of flowers are requested to:
