Carol Andersch, of Doylestown, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on September 13, 2026, surrounded by the family she loved so deeply.

Born in Northeast Philadelphia to Marie Kopania (née DeJames) and Edward C. Kopania, Carol later made her home in Chalfont, where she and her husband, Terry, raised their two children, Melissa and Nicholas. For the last ten years of her life, she lived in Doylestown with her daughter Melissa, son-in-law Matt and “the girls,” becoming an everyday part of their lives and sharing a closeness with her grandchildren that they will carry with them always. Her grandsons, Liam and Lucas, were never far away, frequently coming to visit and share dinner with Grandmom—time together that Carol treasured.

Carol waitressed at Skyline Tavern for many years, alongside one of her closest friends, Tweety. To many of her customers, she became much more than their server. People came in specifically to see Carol, and many of the relationships that began across a table or over a meal grew into genuine friendships that continued long after she left Skyline and retired from waitressing. It was simply who Carol was—she connected with people, remembered them, and made them feel cared for.

Carol found tremendous joy in gardening and cooking, and she had a gift for both. Her kitchen was responsible for many family favorites—from her famous meatballs and chicken noodle soup, affectionately called “Grandmom Soup” by her granddaughter Quinn when she was just two years old, to her Jewish apple cake, chicken cutlets and so many dishes her family will forever associate with her. She loved food, but even more, she loved the happiness that came from making it for other people. Her children, Missy and Nick, are proud to have inherited both her green thumb and her love of cooking, ensuring that pieces of Carol will continue to show up in gardens, kitchens and around family tables for generations to come.

She was also a devoted Phillies fan who rarely missed a game. Winning season or losing streak, Carol remained loyal and kept watching—a true Phillies fan through and through.

But of everything Carol did and everything she loved, nothing compared to being Mom and Grandmom. Her children and grandchildren were her greatest joy and her proudest accomplishment. She lived for them, loved them fiercely and made sure they knew it. Sometimes that love came in the form of seemingly endless boxes of gifts on birthdays and holidays, simply because giving them brought her so much joy. Her family could always count on hearing her say, “Get me my wallet, I’ll buy it for you.” It was just one of the countless ways Carol delighted in making the people she loved happy.

Carol was predeceased by her beloved husband, Terry Andersch; her parents, Marie and Edward Kopania; and her brothers, Edward and William Kopania.

She is survived by her children, Melissa Oakes (Matthew) and Nicholas Andersch (Adrienne); her beloved grandchildren, Zoe, Quinn, Piper, Liam and Lucas; her brothers, Thomas Kopania and James Kopania.

To know Carol was to know how deeply she loved her family. And to be loved by Carol was to know you were loved completely.

A Celebration of Life honoring Carol will be held as an open house on Sunday, October 4, 2026, from 12:00–4:00 p.m. at the Trolley Barn Public Market, 116 E. Broad St., Quakertown, PA 18951. Family and friends are welcome to stop by at any time during those hours to share memories and celebrate Carol’s life. In a fitting tribute to a woman who found so much joy in feeding the people she loved, her son Nick will honor his mom by doing the same—cooking a feast of his best BBQ for all to enjoy.
